Ganesh Chaturthi is one of the most popular festivals in Hindu festivals. It is the birthday of Lord Ganesha. This day is the holiest day for Lord Ganesha.The day when Ganesha, the son of Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati was born, was the Chaturthi of Shukla Paksha of Bhadra month. Hence this day was named as Ganesh Chaturthi and Vinayaka Chaturthi.His worship brings happiness, prosperity and growth in the house. In the Shiva Purana, the Chaturthi of Krishna Paksha of Bhadramas has been described as the birthday of Ganesha. Whereas, according to the Ganesha Purana, this Ganesha avatar happened on Bhadrapada Shukla Chaturthi. Lord Ganesha is considered to be the destroyer of all troubles and the remover of all obstacles.

गणेश चतुर्थी हिंदू त्योहारों में सबसे लोकप्रिय त्योहारों में से एक है। यह भगवान गणेश का जन्मदिन है। यह दिन भगवान गणेश के लिए सबसे पवित्र दिन है। भगवान शिव और माता पार्वती के पुत्र गणेश का जन्म जिस दिन हुआ था, उस दिन भाद्र मास के शुक्ल पक्ष की चतुर्थी थी। इसलिए इस दिन को गणेश चतुर्थी और विनायक चतुर्थी नाम दिया गया। उनके पूजन से घर में सुख समृद्धि और वृद्धि आती है। शिवपुराण में भाद्रमास के कृष्णपक्ष की चतुर्थी को गणेश का जन्मदिन बताया गया है। जबकि गणेशपुराण के मत से यह गणेशावतार भाद्रपद शुक्ल चतुर्थी को हुआ था।भगवान गणेश को सभी संकटों को हरने वाला और सभी बाधाओं को दूर करने वाला देवता माना गया है।
एकदन्ताय वंदना, नमः सिद्धिप्रदं प्रभो।
श्रीगणेश त्वयि आशाम्, सुखदायि मंगलदः॥
English Translation
O Lord Ekadanta (with the single tusk), salutations to You, the giver of successes. In You, Lord Ganesha, we place our hopes—you who bestow joy and auspiciousness.
Hindi Translation
एकदंत भगवान, आपकी वंदना — जो सिद्धि देते हैं।
हे श्रीगणेश, हम आशाएं आप पर रखते हैं — जो सुख और मंगल प्रदान करते हैं।

पार्वतीनन्दनं शम्भोरानन्दपरिवर्धनम् ।
भक्तानन्दकरं नित्यं मयूरेशं नमाम्यहम् ॥
English Translation
It is the delight of Parvatī and the enhancer of the joy of Lord Śambhu. I offer my obeisances to Mayuresha, who always brings joy to His devotees.
Hindi Translation
भावार्थ: जो पार्वती जी को पुत्र रूप से आनंद प्रदान करते और भगवान शिव का भी आनंद बढ़ाते हैं, उन भक्तानन्दवर्धन मयूरेश गणेश को मैं नित्य नमस्कार करता हूं.

विघ्नेश्वराय वरदाय सुरप्रभाय दिम्भजाग्रवर्तिने।
सुरारिगर्वभङ्गाय गणाधिपाय विघ्नविनाशिने॥
English Translation
To the Lord of Obstacles, the bestower of blessings, who shines like the sun, The one who destroys the pride of the enemies of the gods, the Lord of all Ganas (attendants of Lord Shiva), To the destroyer of obstacles, I offer my salutations
Hindi Translation
विघ्नेश्वर के रूप में, वरदायी रूप में,
सूर्य के समान प्रकाशित होने वाले रूप में,
जो दिम्भकों के प्रवर्तक हैं,
सुरों के शत्रुओं का गर्व तोड़ने वाले हैं, सभी गणों के स्वामी हैं,
विघ्नों को नष्ट करने वाले को मैं नमस्कार करता हूँ।

भक्तानामभयं कर्ता त्राता भव भवार्णवात्॥
English Translation
O Ganadhyaksha, protect, protect. O protector of the three worlds! protect; You are the one who gives fearlessness to the devotees, protect me from the ocean of the universe.
Hindi Translation
हे गणाध्यक्ष रक्षा कीजिए, रक्षा कीजिये । हे तीनों लोकों के रक्षक! रक्षा कीजिए;
आप भक्तों को अभय प्रदान करनेवाले हैं, भवसागर से मेरी रक्षा कीजिये ।

Who is adorned with a single tooth, has a huge body, is erect, is Gajanan and who is the destroyer of obstacles,I bow to the transcendental Lord Heramb.
Hindi Translation
जो एक दाँत से सुशोभित हैं, विशाल शरीरवाले हैं, लम्बोदर हैं, गजानन हैं तथा जो विघ्नोंके विनाशकर्ता हैं, मैं उन दिव्य भगवान् हेरम्बको प्रणाम करता हूँ ।
