Happy Independence Day India

Wishes you and every Indian citizen a very Happy Independence Day. India will be celebrating its 78th Independence Day on August 15, 2024, with the usual pride as on this day India got its freedom from British rule. Following the victory of the British at the Battle of Plassey, the East India Company began its rule in India in 1757. The Indian Independence movement began during World War. On August 15, 1947, India got its freedom, ending an almost 200-year British rule.

आपको और प्रत्येक भारतीय नागरिक को स्वतंत्रता दिवस की बहुत-बहुत शुभकामनाएं। भारत 15 अगस्त, 2025 को अपना 79वां स्वतंत्रता दिवस सामान्य गर्व के साथ मनाएगा क्योंकि इसी दिन भारत को ब्रिटिश शासन से आजादी मिली थी। प्लासी की लड़ाई में अंग्रेजों की जीत के बाद, ईस्ट इंडिया कंपनी ने 1757 में भारत में अपना शासन शुरू किया। भारतीय स्वतंत्रता आंदोलन विश्व युद्ध के दौरान शुरू हुआ। 15 अगस्त 1947 को लगभग 200 साल के ब्रिटिश शासन को समाप्त करते हुए भारत को आजादी मिली।
न मोक्षस्यान्तरे किंचित्, स्वातन्त्र्यसममात्मनः।
यस्यां भूमौ हुतं सर्वं, सा भारतमही शुभा॥
English Translation
There is nothing even in liberation that equals the soul’s own freedom. Blessed is the land of Bhārat, where all was offered for that cause.

मोक्ष के अतिरिक्त भी आत्मा के लिए कोई वस्तु स्वतंत्रता के समान नहीं है।
वह भारत भूमि पवित्र है, जहां सब कुछ स्वतंत्रता के लिए अर्पित किया गया।।

जननी जन्मभूमिश्च स्वर्गादपि गरीयसी ।
स्वतन्त्रता अमूल्यं धनं, रक्षणीयं सर्वदा ॥
English Translation
Mother and motherland are greater than heaven. Freedom is a priceless treasure, it should always be protected.
Hindi Translation
माता और मातृभूमि स्वर्ग से भी बढ़कर हैं ।
स्वतंत्रता अनमोल धन है, इसका सदैव रक्षण करना चाहिए ॥

स्वतन्त्रता धनं सर्वं, न स्वतन्त्रं किञ्चिदपि॥
English Translation
In freedom lies capability, and in capability lies freedom. Freedom is everyone's wealth, and there is nothing independent of freedom.

स्वतंत्रता में योग्यता है, और योग्यता में स्वतंत्रता।
स्वतंत्रता ही सबका धन है, और कुछ भी स्वतंत्र नहीं है॥

The country that lies north of the ocean, and south of the snowy mountains, is called Bhárata, for there dwelt the descendants of Bharata.

जो समुद्र के उत्तर तथा हिमालय के दक्षिण में स्थित है, वह देश भारतवर्ष कहलाता है। उसमें भरत की संतान बसी हुई है।
